The early season shortski training sessions on the Stubai Glacier have come to a successful end again. Despite the fact that the glacier lost 3m60 in thickness last summer and the poor snow conditions at the beginning of November, a drop of 25cm the 4th of November and a small 35cm of fresh was added halfway through, transformed everything into a winter wonderland even deep into the valley.
We haven't been off piste much as I thought the chance of being caught by sharks was too big and didn't want to risk any bites. So we didn't use the backpacks much this time. Better safe than sorrow.
The various groups were well matched in terms of level and everyone trained fanatically. Sometimes the video recordings were somewhat confronting, but all feedback was taken to heart and converted during the day, which led to great results.
